Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; CPA is a plus • 6+ years progressive responsibility; a combination of public and corporate accounting preferred • Accounting experience in the construction industry • Needs to be a “Hands-on” accountant who is a problem solver, detail-oriented and focused on practical solutions to issues • Highly motivated and productive employee • Ability to properly manage and prioritize resources, people and projects • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to provide creative solutions to real-time challenges • Advanced written and oral communication skills to effectively disseminate information to all levels of management and the field • High Proficiency with Excel
Responsibilities: • Work with the Controller and VP of Finance to oversee department functions including, but not limited to; financial and tax reporting, project budgets, banking, job cost and projections • Become proficient in international tax and accounting rules • Assist with annual financial statement audits • Participate in the preparation, review and analysis of consolidated monthly, quarterly and annual financial information • Reconciliation of intercompany account balances and multi-currency consolidation • Review and distribute weekly job cost reports • Participate in the preparation of income tax work papers to support complex income tax filings in the United States and Canada • Responsible for the preparation of quarterly income tax estimate packages for S corporation shareholders • Become a “Go-to” accounting expert for ERP software (Viewpoint) • Participate in cross training activities intended to improve departmental coverage • Assist with ongoing ad hoc requests and special projects
