N.C. Real Estate Commission needs personable individual to respond to written and telephone inquiries from licensees and consumers concerning Real Estate License Law, rules and general brokerage procedures.

Performs analytical and high level information delivery in response to inquiries from the general public and members of the regulated industry for the Real Estate Commission.
Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Tasks
- Answers calls throughout each day on a rotating basis from licensees, attorneys, sellers, buyers and general public; listens, analyzes and asks questions to determine the actual issue or question in order to respond with an accurate answer; analyzes and responds to electronic and written inquiries from consumers and licensees relating to real estate brokerage practices and laws also.
- Gathers information from caller, responds by phone, by email or by letter depending on original source and determines whether situation is a potential violation; offers to send form or refers to it’s availability on the Commissions website for person to file a formal complaint.
- Advises consumers of options and refers them to legal aid offices, private attorneys, small claims courts, or other governmental agencies if complaints are beyond the jurisdiction of the Real Estate Commission.
- Determines whether allegations suggest a violation of the Real Estate License Law or Commission rules may have occurred, summarizes, and refers possible violations to a staff attorney.
- Assists in the analysis of real estate market trends and shifts in brokerage practices. Writes articles for Commission publications and may, from time to time, address groups and organizations on topics relating to real estate practice.
- Maintains required knowledge of Real Estate License Law, Commission rules and policy changes, and department protocols and case precedents.
- Speaks to industry groups and the public about the Real Estate License Law, Commission rules and real estate brokerage practices.
Bachelor’s degree (preferred), NC real estate broker license plus one or more years real estate experience are required.
$43,961 - $52,753 plus benefits.
Must reside in Raleigh area.
